Inside Lily and Andrew's Timeless Hamptons Wedding

Lily and Andrew's story began on the very first night of college at St. Lawrence University, an unexpected meeting that would lead to a picture-perfect wedding.

Their journey, which started in college and continued to New York City after graduation, culminated in a wedding at Sebonack Golf Club in the Hamptons—a place that has held deep sentimental value for the couple.

Over the course of many summers spent at Sebonack, they've created a lifetime of memories, and it was only fitting that this special location would serve as the backdrop for the big day.

For Lily and Andrew, the wedding was all about keeping things timeless and meaningful—with personal touches incorporated into almost every aspect of the day. They chose a summer-inspired, Hamptons vibe, with neutral tones and natural textures woven into every detail. "We wanted everything to feel relaxed, yet sophisticated," Lily shares.

The color palette of soft beiges, whites, and tan hues created a serene atmosphere, while subtle touches of blue—from the bridesmaids' dresses to the groomsmen's ties—gave a nod to the easy, coastal charm of the place they love so much.

When it came to the design, Lily credits her mother's impeccable taste as the guiding force behind the aesthetic. "My mom has always had such an innate sense of style," Lily reflects. "I owe so much of the overall look to her." The flowers, selected to mirror the natural beauty of the venue, were designed with an effortless sophistication in mind. The soft blooms, in pale tones of white and blush, added a delicate touch.

To help make their vision a reality, the bride enlisted the help of Jessica Matarese from For Life’s Eventures. Their team ensured that no detail was missed, and created a space that was both inviting and enchanting. “We couldn’t have been happier with Jessica and her team. They are incredible,” Lily shared.

Sebonack was the perfect canvas for this vision. "It's where we spend our summers and share so many special moments," the bride reflects. "It felt deeply meaningful to celebrate here, surrounded by family and the memories we've built over the years."

The bride's gown was another integral part of the vision. Designed and created from scratch by lifelong friends and fashion visionaries Mark Badgley and James Mischka, her wedding dress embodied the perfect balance of elegance and comfort. "We wanted something both refined and comfortable," the bride explains, and the designers delivered exactly that—a dress that felt as good as it looked.

Lily also wore her mother's pearl bracelet, which added a deeply sentimental touch to the ensemble. "My mom has always been my greatest inspiration, and wearing something of hers on my wedding day meant the world to me," she says.

One of the most emotional moments of the day came when Lily's father saw her in her dress for the first time. "It was a moment I will never forget; it was so meaningful for both of us."

The significance of family and personal connections was evident throughout the day. The ceremony, officiated by Father Gregory—a lifelong family friend—was deeply personal, and the couple wanted it to reflect their values and connections.

Father Gregory’s presence added warmth and familiarity to an already emotional occasion. For Andrew and Lily, family was at the core of their celebration, and it was clear in every element.

The reception was a true reflection of Lily and Andrew's desire for a joyful, memorable celebration. "We wanted everyone to have fun and dance the night away," Lily explains. Thanks to the incredible talent of their band, the atmosphere was electric, and the dance floor was never empty.

Their first dance, initially a source of nervousness for the couple, became one of their most cherished moments. After taking a few dance lessons together, they found joy in learning something new, and when the moment arrived, their shared laughter and joy radiated across the room.

In a wedding where every detail—from the natural floral arrangements to the serene color palette—spoke to the couple's desire for elegance and connection, Lily and Andrew's celebration was a testament to their love for one another and the cherished memories they've built together.

For Lily, the most unforgettable aspect of the evening was the feeling of being surrounded by their closest friends and family. "It was overwhelming at times," she reflects, "but looking back, I realize it was the moments shared with Andrew that made the day so special. Having him by my side made it the best day of my life."
